Today we celebrate the hardworking American people who get up every day, put in the work, provide for their families, and keep our great country moving forward.

I’m especially grateful for the hardworking men and women right here in the RGV. Your dedication and hard work are what make our communities strong.

Today we simply want to say thank you, Lord.

We’re grateful for every door that has opened, every person who has taken the time to speak with us, every prayer that has been prayed over our campaign, and every member of our team who continues to work hard for the people of the RGV.

This campaign has always been about serving others, listening to our community, and putting the RGV FIRST. We’re thankful for the opportunity God has given us to do just that.

May we continue to seek His guidance in everything we do and never forget to give Him thanks along the way.

What a successful Saturday with our campaign team! I’m so grateful to everyone who joined us for breakfast this morning and then headed out to block walk with us. It’s always a blessing spending time with such a hardworking and dedicated team. A big thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes and cakes. A big shout out to the great team at Country Omelette for the birthday celebration with us.

Debbie and I are also incredibly grateful for the support we received from people in our community today. Thank you to those who welcomed us, allowed us to put signs on their property, and especially to those who took a moment to pray over us. Those moments mean more to us than you know. 🙏🏻❤️

Days like today remind me why we’re working so hard. We love the RGV, we love its people, and we’re grateful to have so many of you walking this journey with us.

I did a podcast interview today with Tony Villeda, and I have to admit, I really enjoyed it! We’ll be sharing the podcast with you all pretty soon.

One of the topics we discussed was my RGV FIRST hat and what it means to me. For me, RGV FIRST means exactly that putting the people of the RGV first and serving the needs of our area and our constituents.

I see myself as a middle of the road person who represents the silent majority people who simply want common-sense solutions to the problems affecting their families and communities.

Affordability is a huge issue that we must address in the Legislature. Taking the school portion of property taxes off our homes by using part of the state’s budget surplus could save homeowners a lot of money. We also need to work on bringing down the cost of auto and homeowners insurance, which continues to hit families hard.

The Governor has plans to address these issues, and I intend to work with him to pass legislation that helps bring these costs down for the people of the RGV.

That, to me, is what RGV FIRST is all about fixing issues for the people you serve. It’s all about humbly serving your constituents and community asking God for the wisdom and guidance to serve . 🇺🇸❤️

Great day on the campaign trail today! 🇺🇸

The day started with an interesting conference on hunger in the RGV, hosted by Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez. I learned a lot about the challenges people in our community face when it comes to food shortages and what can be done to help. I’m very glad I had the opportunity to attend and learn more about an issue that affects so many people here in the RGV. It makes me even more determined to find common-sense solutions and do what I can to help bring more good-paying jobs to our area.

After the conference, I attended Good Day McAllen, an upbeat luncheon with leaders from throughout our community. It was great seeing how the Chamber and local leadership work to promote and support businesses in our area. As a pro-business candidate, I really enjoyed being around so many like minded people who want to see our community grow and succeed.

A big thank you to my friend Sarah for taking me to both of these events! 🙏🏻

We finished the day the way we often do block walking, talking with constituents, listening to their concerns, and learning how I can best serve them.

All in all, another great day on the campaign trail in our beloved RGV! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

What a nice surprise after block walking today! ❤️

We stopped by Luby’s to pick up some dinner when a young lady named Lilly came up to me and asked, “Are you Gary Groves?” I said yes, and she told me it was an honor to meet me in person 😊

I got to visit with Lilly and her mother for a little while and take some pictures with them. It was such a nice unexpected moment and a great way to end the day.

Good evening, everyone! 🇺🇸

I’ve had the opportunity to meet many law enforcement officers while out on the campaign trail. One of the greatest experiences I’ve had was being part of a group whose mission was simply to honor and show appreciation for law enforcement.

Over the years, I’ve met so many incredible men and women who serve our communities. Sometimes we would bring them large thank-you cards and cookies just to let them know how much we appreciated what they do. They were always so grateful for something as simple as a pat on the back and a heartfelt “thank you” for protecting us.

Our law enforcement officers are truly some of America’s finest. They do a difficult and often thankless job in service to their communities and our country, and I will always have their backs.

I back the blue and the green 💙💚 No matter what branch of law enforcement they serve in, they will always have my support on the campaign trail and when I’m in office.

God bless our law enforcement community and thank you for all that you do 🇺🇸🙏🏻💙

There are good days and tough days on the campaign trail, but moments like this remind me why we keep going. ❤️🇺🇸

Someone took the time to stop and clean up around one of our big campaign signs cutting back the tall grass and clearing away the vines that had started growing over it.

It may seem like a small gesture, but it means a lot when someone believes in you enough to take time out of their own day to help. These are the moments that make the long days, the heat, and all the hard work worth it.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us in ways big and small. We see it, we appreciate it, and we’re grateful. 🙏🏻❤️🤍💙
