With the recent and ongoing storms, many roads throughout the Township are experiencing flooding and washouts. Please use extreme caution when traveling, and do not attempt to drive through flooded roadways or damaged areas. Remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown. No destination is worth risking your safety.

INCIDENT: Structure Fire on River Edge Lane
Last night, the Town of Lincoln Fire & Rescue Department, along with Cameron Fire Department, and Rock Fire & Rescue were dispatched by the Wood County Communication Center to a structure fire on River Edge Lane. Initial dispatch information stated a garage was fully involved and is attached to the home. Upon arrival, crews found a garage fire that had already extended into the home, causing major, significant damage.

Firefighters immediately began suppression operations to fight the fire and were able to stop the fire from engulfing the entire house. While the fire resulted in major damage to both the garage and the home, all occupants had successfully evacuated the structure prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. No injuries were reported to civilians or first responders.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

We want to send a huge thank you to our mutual aid partners who assisted us on the scene. We could not do this without your support (not in any particular order and hopefully not missing anyone):

Today, the Town of Lincoln Fire Dept. pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

As first responders, we are deeply aware of the courage it takes to run toward danger in service of others. On this solemn day, we pay tribute to the heroes of our armed forces—those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we hold dear.

May we never forget their sacrifice. Let us carry forward their legacy with honor, service, and gratitude.

🕯️ We remember. We honor. We thank you.
