Reference: PI Accident

On 6/5/26 at approximately 0945 hours Chocolay Township Police Officers were dispatched to US HWY 41 S near The Snyder Drugstore for a 2 car PI (Personal Injury) Crash. Upon arrival Officers discovered that 4 vehicles were involved. Officers had to stop Northbound Traffic until further responders from the Chocolay Township Fire Department, DNR Law Enforcement Division, Marquette City Police and Marquette County Sheriff’s Office arrived. One male was transported to UPHS for non-life-threatening injuries.
Upon finishing the investigation CTPD was able to determine that a black Toyota pickup exited the Snyder’s driveway turning South onto US HWY 41. The Toyota struck a black GMC Pickup that was pulling a trailer. After striking the trailer the Toyota then entered oncoming traffic where it first struck a box truck which was travelling North. After striking the box truck the Toyota struck a Northbound Motorhome which caused substantial damage to both vehicles.
The Chocolay Township Police would like to thank all the bystanders who stopped to render aid and check on the involved parties as well as all the assisting agencies.
