In a cardiac emergency, every minute counts. Learning hands‑only CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival. Protecting your family, friends, and community starts with being prepared.

Join Shana Scott, Vice President of Community Impact for the Metro Atlanta American Heart Association, for a hands‑only CPR educational session designed to help you recognize a cardiac emergency and take action with confidence. This interactive program will walk participants through the lifesaving basics of hands‑only CPR and why bystanders play such a critical role before emergency responders arrive.

Join ’s Community Garden Family Garden Club as we celebrate five years of growing, learning, and getting our hands dirty together! This summer’s milestone season is all about wellness through gardening and environmental science.

Discover how healthy soil creates healthy plants as we explore composting and vermiculture with real worms and rich organic matter. Grow and harvest herbs while learning how to create soothing tisanes and herbal teas. Take on the challenge of growing corn in the middle of a true Georgia summer complete with heat, humidity, bugs, and all the realities of gardening in the South!

This hands-on summer series meets Mondays from 6 to 7 pm. Come ready to dig, plant, experiment, and learn alongside other families in the garden. Hats, water bottles, and closed toe shoes are encouraged.
