After 2 pandemic years, 17 month old baby and gaining ’x’ pounds of weight each, we are back on trail with Hike #1 of 2022.
No challenge this year and will hike it with the flow with growing uncertainties around. However, will try as much possible to stay with the nature and keep sharing our hike stories and experiences.
Hike Story:
After lot of apprehensions, push backs, baby “Veera’s” nap time and breakfast time calculations we embarked on this 2.2 mile hike on a 53 degrees F surprise Sunday. We always consider our first hike after a gap as health check hike to measure where we are with our core and friendliness with elevations.
This year it will be a new challenge to carry a toddler throughout and so ofcourse our hikes will be kids friendly and “toddler on the back” friendly ☺️
The trail was mushy with overnight rain but still well marked. We did go off track at one point but we’re quick enough to get back on trail realizing the track and re-checking the All Trail map.
We had a good cardio and Veera supported a lot with lot of patience and observations. She did feel drowsy at the last 7-8 minutes of strech as we overlapped her nap time but showed lot of potential for our next one.
Until then…stay safe and stay fit!!
