Tonight at approximately 6:00pm the Manville fire department will be conducting in station training. if you see large amounts of smoke in the area of our station at 112 old main st and central street or hear fire alarms please do not panic it’s all part of the training exercise tonight . There will be no active fire involved with this training. thank you for your understanding and continued support .

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Honorary Member Captain Roger Gladu.
Captain Gladu dedicated 36 years of service to the Manville Fire Department, serving the district in many capacities throughout his distinguished career. He joined the department in 1954 as a Junior Firefighter and steadily rose through the ranks, ultimately earning the rank of Captain. For many years, he proudly served as an officer of Engine 1 and became a respected leader known by generations of firefighters.
Beyond his operational service, Captain Gladu served as the department historian, carefully documenting incidents, major events, and the countless individuals who passed through the doors of the Manville Fire Department. His commitment to preserving our history ensured that the stories, traditions, and legacy of our department would never be forgotten.
In recent years, he generously shared his vast knowledge of the department's history with both current and former members. Many will also remember him for his role in our annual Firefighter Sunday ceremony, where he proudly read the names of our members, continuing a tradition that meant so much to our department family.
Captain Gladu's dedication, leadership, and passion for the fire service have left a lasting impact on the Manville Fire Department and the community he faithfully served. His legacy will live on through the history he preserved and the generations of firefighters he inspired.
A true legend of the Manville Fire Department, Captain Roger Gladu will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Retirement Celebration Announcement

The Manville Fire Department is pleased to announce and cordially invite all former members, honorary members, and friends of the department to join us in celebrating the retirement of Chief Robert Bradley Jr.
Chief Bradley’s retirement marks the conclusion of an extraordinary 39 years of dedicated service to the fire service, including his commitment to both the Manville Fire Department and the City of Central Falls. Throughout his career, Chief Bradley has demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to the communities he has proudly served.
Please join us as we honor his distinguished career and recognize his many contributions.

Public Notification – Firefighter Sunday Ceremony

The Manville Fire Department respectfully invites the public to join us tomorrow as we observe our annual Firefighter Sunday tradition.

Each year, Firefighter Sunday serves as a time to honor and remember the past and present members of our department who have passed away. Following Mass, a special prayer service and memorial ceremony will be held at the fire station, including the ringing of the Final Bell in tribute to their dedication and service.

Department members will march to St. James Church for the 10:00 a.m. Mass and will return to the station following the service, approximately 11:00 a.m., where the memorial ceremony will take place.

We welcome all members of the community to attend and join us in this meaningful tradition.

We apologize for the late notice and look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Thank you for your continued support of the Manville Fire Department and the firefighters who serve our community.

Today 2/10/26 at approximately 1140 all Lincoln cars and stations were dispatched to 10 Franklin st in Lincoln for a reported fire. crews arrived on scene confirming a code red for a working fire . This fire reached a 3rd alarm. strong work by all Lincoln and mutual aid companies. this is the second fire in town in 24hrs.

Manville E1 and all Lincoln companies are currently working a code red at 10 Franklin street Lincoln .

Tonight at approximately 5:45pm First alarm companies were dispatched for a working fire at 6 New England Way , Tanury Industries , upon arrival crews confirmed a code red with heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof. The fire was brought under control about an hour after the initial dispatch. Strong work by all Lincoln and mutual aid companies that came to assist this 3rd alarm fire.

A fire broke out at a plating facility in Lincoln on Monday.
