Manson Fire Department has been dispatched to assist with a 3 to 5 acre wildfire near Brewster alongside crews from Bridgeport and Chelan Fire Departments.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
This serves as another reminder that we are not approaching wildland fire season! we are in it. Hot, dry conditions and receptive fuels mean fires can start easily and spread rapidly. Across the Eastern Washington region, firefighters are already responding to multiple incidents, and the season is proving to be a challenging one.
Please be extremely cautious with anything that could spark a fire. Avoid parking vehicles in dry grass, ensure trailer chains are secured, use equipment responsibly, and follow all fire restrictions.
It only takes one spark.
