Hi, neighbors! We are hosting a series of Town Halls. The day/time/speaker is aligned, and we are finalizing venue as we speak :)

The first in the series is for Secretary of State. We invited Republican nominee Pat Proctor multiple times via email and phone, and he has not responded. Jennifer Day (D) has confirmed, and will join us on the stage to talk about her race and about the constitutional amendment.

We had a great event this morning at Coffee with the Candidate: Cindy Holscher!

✅️Venue? Divine, aesthetic, historic.
✅️Attendees? Immaculate, engaged, diverse.
✅️Candidate? Inspiring, educational, and hopefully our next Governor!

As a non-partisan group, we invest our time and energy into helping our community gain more access to the candidates and elected officials that govern our lives. And we get especially excited about candidates who propose issues and policies that make our communities happier, safer, more prosperous, and more connected. You can review Cindy's policy positions at the end of this photo album.

We were so excited to see such a spread of folks from different backgrounds and organizations! We had members of the NAACP Branch 4046 B, the League of Women Voters, the United Kansas party, the Libertarian party, the Democrat party; farmers, entrepreneurs, K State students, educators, retirees, active duty soldiers, and veterans; residents of Riley, Pott, and Geary County-- and the cutest little chubby-cheek baby boy 🥰🤩

We have three town halls and a rally coming up-- all before the general election and all geared towards getting candidates close enough to shake your hand, so stay tuned!

Want to talk face-to-face with a candidate for Governor? Normally, you'd have to go to KC, Lawrence or Wichita for that. BUT it's a boring drive and we thought it would be pretty cool to bring Cindy Holscher for Kansas here to the Little Apple. Luckily, her campaign thought it'd be pretty cool, too! 😎

Join us Saturday, August 29 at Arrow Downtown Cafe & Bodega from 9am until a Midwest goodbye starting at 10:30. ish. 🤷‍♀️

A one-on-one conversation with Cindy, free coffee and pastries, and enjoyable time spent with friends and neighbors? We'll raise a mug to that! ☕
