WOW! The day is here and it won’t be long now until the results are in.
3 months ago when I decided to put my name in the hat for City Commissioner I didn’t realize how much I was going to have to step outside of my comfort zone in the campaign process. From debates, to answering questions to so MANY groups and newspapers, and even walking neighborhoods, I have learned a lot.
One thing that remains constant is the fact that I am determined to serve our community. I know that once elected there will be some not so popular decisions to make (data center hot topic 😬) and quite honestly, I have never worried about being popular, it has always been about doing the right thing and making tough decisions that has the best interest of all parties involved. I welcome the opinions of the public and there may be times I even approach some of you to open that conversation to gain your perspective.
With the election coming to a close, I just want to say that I appreciate the support and encouragement I have received from my family and friends and even people I have just met along the way.
Now do me one last favor and get out there and vote for me! Today is the last day and your vote does matter not just for me but for all the others running, and don’t forget to vote ‘YES’ for funding the Fire department!
