Pet dumping is becoming a growing crisis in Connecticut.
Animal control officers and shelters across our state are being overwhelmed as more animals are abandoned and fewer are being adopted. The heartbreaking result is that healthy animals may face euthanasia simply because there is no room left.
We must encourage adoption and support shelters, rescue organizations, and foster programs that provide a safe place for these animals. Dumping a pet on the street, in a park, or on the side of a road is never the answer.
A compassionate society is judged by how it treats both its people and its animals. Connecticut can and must do better.
If you are considering adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from a local shelter. You may save a life and gain a loyal friend for years to come.

Hartford animal control officers said they are finding dogs dumped in parks and cemeteries on a nearly daily basis. To make matters worse, they are not being adopted fast enough.

It was wonderful visiting the Danbury Lebanese Festival and attending Sunday morning Mass.
As someone who is proud of my Lebanese heritage, it was especially meaningful to spend the day celebrating the rich culture, faith, traditions, and hospitality that make the Lebanese community so special. In Lebanon, a festival is called a Mahrajan, and this year's celebration truly lived up to that tradition.
I enjoyed meeting so many great people, sharing stories, and enjoying the incredible food, drink, and fellowship that bring families and communities together.
It was also an honor to share the vision of our next Governor of Connecticut, Ryan Fazio, and discuss the future of our state with so many engaged residents.
Thank you to everyone who welcomed us so warmly. It was a fantastic day celebrating faith, family, culture, and community.

Spent a great day with the next governor of Connecticut Ryan Fazio for Governor. I look forward to campaigning with Ryan over the next several months, but more importantly working with him to get Connecticut on the right track.

Please make sure to follow both of us on social media and sign up to help us on this journey. We need every single one of you to get this done!

Another Connecticut institution is shutting its doors.
Guida-Seibert Dairy has been part of New Britain for generations, and now more than 200 hardworking employees and their families are facing uncertainty about their future.
This is what happens when you have a Governor who is not engaged with the people, workers, and businesses of Connecticut.
When good-paying jobs disappear, the impact doesn’t stop at the factory doors. Local restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, small businesses, and entire communities feel the pain.
The people of Connecticut want the dignity of a good-paying job, affordable living, and leadership that understands the real struggles families and communities are facing every single day.

The news came a day after the state Department of Labor said Connecticut’s unemployment rate rose to 5%

Governor Ned Lamont wants Connecticut families to believe he’s suddenly outraged over electric bills after years of supporting the same policies, regulators, and energy agenda that helped create this crisis.
For years, families, seniors, and small businesses warned Hartford that Connecticut’s energy costs were becoming unsustainable. Instead of fixing the structural problems at PURA and addressing failed energy policies, this administration defended the system while rates continued climbing.
Now Governor Lamont suddenly wants to sound shocked that Connecticut has some of the highest electric bills in America.
Connecticut doesn’t need political theater after the damage is done. We need leadership that is engaged, accountable, and focused on affordability before families are pushed to the breaking point.

Press Release Homepage Message From Governor Lamont to Connecticut Families 5/21/2026 Somewhere in Connecticut, a family is sitting at a kitchen table trying to figure out how to pay their electric bill. Maybe they didn’t turn the AC on despite this week’s high temperatures. They’re struggling...

I want to recognize my niece, Sara Corey Parker, for being honored as part of the Year of the Woman Farmer in Maine 2026.

From laboratory tissue culture work to seed distribution and harvesting in the field, Sara represents the hard work, innovation, and resilience that keeps family agriculture moving forward every day.

At a time when family farms are struggling across states like Connecticut and Maine, it’s important to recognize the people working tirelessly to preserve these traditions and industries for the next generation.

Very proud of you, Sara.!!

Women in Maine agriculture are leading with innovation and resilience, often balancing business, family, and life on the farm.

Sara Corey Parker of Daniel Corey Farms, Seed Pro Inc, and Nu-Seed Corp is a powerful example of that spirit. From managing seed shipments across the U.S. and internationally, to tissue culture propagation in the lab, to harvesting in the field, Sara helps drive one of Maine’s dynamic agricultural operations forward every day.

We’re proud to recognize Sara as part of the Year of the Woman Farmer in Maine 2026. 🌱

I would like to sincerely thank all of the delegates for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the Republican Party and the future of Connecticut.

I also want to congratulate Ryan Fazio on earning the Republican nomination for Governor. Senator Fazio ran a strong campaign focused on affordability, energy costs, and restoring opportunity in our state.

I am honored and humbled to have earned your support for Lieutenant Governor, and I am ready to work tirelessly on behalf of the Republican Party and Governor nominee Ryan Fazio’s vision for a stronger, safer, and more affordable Connecticut.
