👩‍💼🏛️ Mayor for a Day 2026 🏛️👩‍💼

Today, the Town of Man had the pleasure of welcoming our Mayor for a Day winners, Zeppelin Amburgey, a 1st grader from Buffalo Elementary School, and Maci McNeely, a 4th grader from South Man Elementary School!

The girls arrived promptly at City Hall and got right to work. Throughout the day, they toured City Hall, visited the Town of Man Fire Department, enjoyed a ride-along with Chief of Police Terry Brumfield, and participated in the Town Council meeting alongside Mayor John Fekete.

Zeppelin had the honor of calling the meeting to order with the gavel, while both Junior Mayors carefully reviewed and approved all action items on the agenda. At the conclusion of the meeting, Maci proudly brought the meeting to a close with the final bang of the gavel.

Afterward, the girls got an interview with a reporter from WVOW Radio to share their experiences. Be sure to tune in tomorrow to hear their thoughts on their exciting day serving as Mayor!

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Zeppelin and Maci for their outstanding service to our town today. Your enthusiasm, leadership, and willingness to learn about local government made us proud. The future of Man is bright with young leaders like you!
