It’s been a busy week. Best part was being able to get all of Blackey cut and trimmed up for Blackey days .. we have helped with this festival for several years and it just gets bigger and better ever year.. thanks to the people of Blackey for having us.. the men and women’s work release have cut several graveyards and helped with food box’s this week.. it’s been a busy week but a very productive week.. letcher county jail work release ….2026…..

Today the men and women’s work release along with the jailer and work release supervisors, helped get the beautiful town of blackey ready for Blackey days 2026… it was our pleasure to help and meet all the nice people who stopped by to just say hi or thank us for our help.. blackey days is this Friday and Saturday. Another full week of cutting weeds and grass around letcher county.. the men and women’s work release has stayed busy all over letcher county picking up trash also.. also a big thanks to our garbage warden for helping us find all the places people have dumped there trash.. we have a beautiful county and we want to do our part to help keep it looking good… letcher county jail work release ……2026……

The men and women’s work release spent a few days this week painting at the baseball field in whitesburg, helped out with LKLP food box’s and also helped with the food pantry’s distribution of food items at neon.. in between all of that several bags of trash were picked up in different locations across letcher county……letcher county jail men and women’s work release 2026……
