**MEDIA RELEASE**

On August 7, 2026 at approximately 11 pm, Monee police Officers received a call of a nonverbal male juvenile found in the area of the Tractor Supply located in the 5400 block of Monee Manhattan road. An emergency notification went out asking for information so we could make contact with his family. The juvenile was transported to the hospital to be evaluated and was reunited with his family shortly thereafter.

**MEDIA RELEASE**

At approximately 6:10am this morning, three male subjects dressed in all black with hoodies and masks broke into Lacy's gaming cafe in the 5600 block of Monee Manhattan Rd. and removed two cash boxes. Subjects were encountered by MPD officers as they fled in a late model Audi sedan. The suspects were pursued northbound on I-57 until speeds and heavy traffic near I-80 created a life safety issue and Officers terminated. Investigations is following up.

*UPDATE* Reunited with Owner!

Do you know where I belong? Found today around 2:30 at Oak rd and Orchard trail, male, chipped, but not registered. He has a 2025 rabies tag, and a dog tag that requires a QR scan, but it’s too scratched to scan. If you recognize him and know where he lives please call 708-534-8309. He is currently being housed at our PD.

STORM ASSISTANCE HOTLINE 211

Christian Aid Ministries Rapid Response Services and IDES (International Disaster Emergency Service) will be in Will County to assist residents with cutting up fallen trees and moving the debris to the public right-of-way.

Please share the following process with residents who need assistance:

Call 2-1-1 and request tree cleanup assistance.
Complete the Will County Damage Survey at //willcountyema.org/storm. Residents should include their name, address, email address, and phone number.
Watch for a text message from 2-1-1 containing a waiver. The waiver must be signed before assistance can be provided.
A Christian Aid Ministries administrator will follow up directly with residents who request assistance.
Residents who already completed the Will County Damage Survey and requested tree cleanup assistance through the survey will be contacted by Christian Aid Ministries and provided with a paper waiver form.

Assistance is based on volunteer availability and the type of work needed.
