From the highway superintendent- Tomorrow-8/4 North Hill Road will be closed from 7:00 AM till noon from Tilden Hill to Olivers.

Tomorrow morning, Saturday 5/30, North Church Street will be closed from 9:00-11:30 for the soapbox derby. Closure will be at the bottom of N. Church at the intersection of Mill Street & to Master’s Tabernacle.

The registrations are coming in! The derby is open to anyone who wants to participate. The car must have 4 wheels, steering mechanism, & brake. Call 607-545-6509 for a registration form.

The specifications for a derby car include four wheels, a steering mechanism, and braking system, as one group is currently engaged in constructing a STEM-based vehicle that integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics principles;while others are using their imagination & creativity to enter a derby car.

A State Of Emergency is being declared for the Town of Burns roads- especially hard hit are Sikes, Monaghan, Freiner Hill, North Hill & Big Hollow.
