-Budget Central for all government entities, schools, cities, townships, agricultural extension, county hospitals, emergency management services, E911 service boards, and county assessor.
-Clerk to the Board of Supervisors
-Commissioner of Elections
-County Financial Officer
-County Registrar of Voters
-County Tax Accountant
-Custodian of the Courthouse


-Custodian of the Election Returns and Records
-Insurance/Bonds
-Licenses/Permits
-Payroll & Human Resources Manager
-Overseer of the County Plats
-Records and Plans
-Any Reporting Requirements by the Bureau of Census, Labor, OSHA, Job Service of Iowa, and various other general reporting.

Both County & State Candidates for the 2026 Primary Election that will be held on June 2, 2026.

Absentee Ballot request forms are now being accepted at the Des Moines County Auditors Office. You can get a form at the Auditor’s Office or at the link posted below. These are for ballots that will be MAILED to voters between May 13th - May 18th. The final day to request an absentee ballot to be mailed is May 18th at 5:00 P.M.

Absentee Ballots are not available to be voted at the Auditors Office until May 13th.
