K-9 Flash Deployment Leads to Drug Dealer Arrest
On June 10, 2025, a traffic stop conducted in the City of Hartford led to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer traveling from Milwaukee. During the stop, the officer developed reasonable suspicion of drug activity and deployed K-9 Flash, who gave a positive alert for the presence of narcotics.
A subsequent probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a digital scale containing co***ne residue and crack co***ne scattered throughout the front of the vehicle. Officers also found $765 in cash in the driver’s possession and multiple cell phones.
Further investigation revealed the driver was currently on probation and released from prison for previous drug dealing offenses. The individual was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail. During the booking process, nearly one ounce of crack co***ne was located concealed in the driver’s crotch area.
The suspect is currently being held in the Washington County Jail on a $30,000 cash bond. Charges include:
Possession with Intent to Deliver Co***ne (15–40 grams)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Bail Jumping
This successful K-9 deployment removed a known drug dealer from the community, demonstrating the continued commitment by our K-9 unit to protect the public and fight against illegal narcotics entering Washington County.
