BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED

July 10, 2026 | 3:40PM

The Boil Water Notice for the City of Daisetta has been lifted.

Water quality testing has been completed, and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has confirmed that the water is safe for normal use. Residents may resume drinking, cooking, and preparing food with tap water without boiling it first.

We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while this notice was in effect. Thank you for working with us as crews completed repairs and ensured the safety of our community’s water system.

WATER REPAIR COMPLETE; BOIL WATER NOTICE IN EFFECT

July 1, 2026 | 9:20 PM

City crews have completed repairs to the water system and service has been restored.

Residents should allow several hours for water pressure to fully recover and for the water tower to refill. During this time, some customers may experience lower-than-normal pressure and occasional brown or discolored water as the system is flushed.

A Boil Water Notice remains in effect and will continue until further notice.

We appreciate everyone's patience while crews worked to get things back up and running. We'll keep you posted as we receive additional information.

Tonight was special for the City of Daisetta as we officially welcomed Don Neyland as our new Municipal Court Judge.

Don’s career in law enforcement began right here in Daisetta before he went on to dedicate more than 30 years of service to the citizens of Liberty County, eventually retiring as Chief Deputy of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office. In addition to his law enforcement service, he has also previously served the citizens of Daisetta as a member of the City Council, demonstrating his long-standing commitment to our community.

We were glad to have Judge Neyland’s wife, Melissa with us tonight, along with Justice of the Peace Jimmy Belt, Liberty County Precinct 2. Judge Neyland was officially sworn in by Mayor Cindy Burchfield during tonight’s City Council meeting.

The City of Daisetta is proud to partner with HD N.E.A.T. to bring back Fireworks on the Field on July 4th at Bobcat Stadium.

Bring your lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and your favorite people for an evening of free food, family fun, and a spectacular fireworks show at dark.

We’re grateful for HD N.E.A.T. and the generous support of our donors for helping make this event possible. We look forward to celebrating Independence Day with our friends and neighbors.

WATER UPDATE
June 18, 2026 | 5:15 PM

A repair has been completed to the water system issue that disrupted service earlier today.

Water pressure was maintained throughout the repair, and a Boil Water Notice will not be necessary.

As crews finished the work, the lines were flushed to help clear the system. Because of this, some residents may notice lower-than-normal water pressure or temporary discoloration or sediment in their water. If you experience discolored water, simply run cold water for a few minutes until it clears.
