Feeling a little extra demoralized this morning. The President is trying to pardon the entire Republican party. The President is continuing to fight against paying SNAP benefits. The President and his personal military have been terrorizing Chicago for the past month and, over the weekend, violated the current court orders, and shot pepper spray into a car (at the driver, while driving) and also hit their baby that was in the backseat. The President is bombing Venezuela boats without providing any evidence to Congress. The President is actively trying to kill off the ACA, ensuring that millions of Americans will lose their health insurance. These are just a few of the latest atrocities visited by this current Presidential administration. He's polling at 37% approval. How low can he go before Congress decides they can govern independently of him?

The "Biden-Zelensky War", as he calls it, was started when Russia invaded Ukraine. Ukraine should not have to give up anything. Russia should withdraw and return the Ukranian children they unlawfully kidnapped. And remember, this was the war he was stopping on Day One?

We should not have to live in a country where this is something we have to think about and, yet, here we are.

Charlie Kirk didn’t have to die. Melissa Hortman didn’t have to die. Iryna Zarutska didn’t have to die. Kids in Colorado or Minnesota or any other state don’t have to keep dying. Children in Gaza absolutely don’t have to die. Nobody’s life should be worth more than anybody else’s and yet here we are, killing each other. Every. Single. Day. Taking away the one thing that a family can never get back. And then putting our numbness blinders back on and moving on with our lives until the next trauma cycle. It’s too much. I don’t know where we go from here and days like today, I don’t know if I know much of anything. But I do know that we all need to do everything we possibly can to resist the pull to react to and amplify hate.
