Your opportunity to honor a loved one !

Help us light up Merry Madison by sponsoring a Main Street lamppost for $50 this Holiday season! ❄

Each year, our street department works to decorate every Main Street lamppost with wreaths and gleaming lights, and you can help by donating just $50. You/your organization will be listed on a bright red gift tag around the post that says you sponsored it. Helping turn Madison into its Hallmark-like Christmas scene has never been easier!

Specific lampposts can be chosen for sponsorship on a first-come-first-served basis and will ONLY be reserved when payment is received. Stop by City Hall today to reserve your lamppost and drop off your payment (cash or check only). For questions, contact Kristin at [email protected].

The money raised through this fundraiser helps us maintain and replace lights on the lampposts and at the Broadway Fountain as needed year after year for all seasons.

Want to sponsor a decorative lamppost somewhere else in the city? You can sponsor any decorative lamppost in town, including the ones along Michigan Road and any post along Vaughn Drive!

UPDATE: While Halloween is traditionally celebrated on October 31, the City of Madison, after further discussion with the County Commissioners and the Town of Hanover, will move trick-or-treating hours this year to Wednesday, October 30, from 6-8 PM. We apologize for any confusion.
However, please note that going forward, trick-or-treating will be on Halloween, rain or shine.

Crystal Beach Ribbon Cutting/Open House tomorrow night (Wednesday) 5:00-7:00 pm.

Check out this opportunity to be the FIRST to try out the new slides at Crystal Beach Aquatic Park!

Madison's Mayor Bob Courtney is excited to announce an opportunity for two lucky children of Jefferson County to be the first to experience the adrenaline rush of the brand-new slides at Crystal Beach Aquatic Park! As part of the festivities during the Crystal Beach Ribbon Cutting and Open House, two children will have the exclusive chance to take the inaugural plunge down these exhilarating slides that evening.

"The Crystal Beach Ribbon-Cutting and Open House promises to be an evening filled with excitement and celebration for the entire community! Please join us for this special occasion as we celebrate the preservation and opening of our beloved community pool," said Mayor Courtney.

The drawing will be held during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Mayor Courtney will randomly select two children's names who meet the 48-inch-tall state requirement to be eligible to use the slide. At that time, the children will be escorted to the top of the slides, where they will be the first to experience the thrills of the brand-new slides.

The Ribbon-Cutting and Open House will be held on May 22, 2024, from 5 to 7 PM. The evening will begin with a special performance by the Madison Cubs Band. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guided tours of our newly renovated facility will be offered, and a sample menu of the summer concessions will be available.

Please note that while we're excited to showcase our revitalized aquatic park, swimming will not be available during this event. However, mark your calendars for Sunday, May 26, at noon, when Crystal Beach Aquatic Park will officially open its doors for swimming.
