The Change Madison Needs
The ballot is set and the race for Madison Selectboard is about to heat up with two
open seats. Two of the candidates, Joe Dame and Nicole Nordlund are proven and ready to meet the challenges of our small town and restore the broken trust in its government.
They’ve demonstrated their commitment to sound fiscal policy that includes asking the right questions and doing the research to make informed, sensible decisions that put taxpayers’ interests first. Calling on decades of experience-honed skills, Nicole as a successful small business owner and Joe as a Federal Programs Manager, they will bring positive change to the leadership of the town.
A growing, thriving town is not just numbers or a photo opportunity to Joe and Nicole, there is a human side. Both have been involved in our community, both through serving on the ABC, Joe managing successful food pantries, and Nicole serving on numerous other committees and offering a space for vets to gather for networking.
Finally, it’s the open and collaborative team approach that leverages diverse perspectives and expertise to achieve sustainable solutions that Joe and Nicole subscribe to. They will tap a network of local, state and federal contacts to help solve current and future uncertainties facing Madison. For example, they're already working together with Representative Chris Pappas on a grant that would save taxpayers more than a million dollars on our dam project.
These are just a few of the attributes that Joe Dame and Nicole Nordlund will bring to the Madison Selectboard.
