The Lynwood City Council proudly recognizes the Lynwood Marlins Swim Team for earning First Place in their division at the South Central Championship, held February 21–22 in the City of South Gate. This incredible achievement reflects the team’s dedication, perseverance, teamwork, and commitment to excellence, bringing great pride and honor to the City of Lynwood.

We applaud the athletes, coaches, and supporters whose hard work and determination made this accomplishment possible. Thank you for representing our community with such distinction and for inspiring the next generation of swimmers. 🌟

January is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month!

During last night’s City Council meeting, the City of Lynwood recognized Forgotten Children, Inc. for its dedicated work in combating human trafficking and supporting women and girls.
Tera K. Hilliard, President of Forgotten Children, Inc., accepted the proclamation and shared pride in the organization’s Lynwood drop-in location at 12523 Long Beach Blvd., Lynwood, CA 90262, which provides outreach, education, housing, supportive services, and intervention programs for victims and survivors of human trafficking.

This month, the City of Lynwood encourages residents to learn the signs of human trafficking, support survivor-centered efforts, and work together to protect the dignity and safety of our community.
