Today, our young scholars dove deep into “fall pumpkins”, mastering everything from the initial floral bloom to the precise shade of bright orange that signals peak harvest.

Naturally, we put our new botany degrees to work immediately. Craft decorating followed, featuring Miss Sue’s absolute favorite, low stress, zero mess materials: glue and tissue paper! While sticky situation management was in high demand. I am thrilled to report that the final masterpieces are absolute showstoppers!

Hands-on learning at its finest! Our little artists had a phenomenal time stamping with real apples—and wow, the end results belong straight in a museum gallery!

We are pleased to report a highly successful – and delightfully chaotic – pumpkin decorating showcase this week. On Tuesday, our enterprising toddlers laid the groundwork by discovering how pumpkin features fit together. Today, our older youth took the reins, unleashing a wave of creativity that frankly put our own crafting skills to shame. Between the brilliant designs and a sweet new friendship taking root, it was a banner week for the Lynn public library children’s department and fall decor.
