5/16/26 Lufkin Fire Department deployed 3 personnel with the Emergency Medical Task Force (EMTF) to the panhandle of Texas as a part of a Wildland Fire Support All Hazards Package at the request of the Texas Division of Emergency Management. FF Sarver, FF Collinsworth and AC Watson responded in an ambulance and command vehicle. The crew has joined with EMTF partners from Port Arthur FD, Huffman FD, Lifeline Laredo, Hopkins Co EMS, Humble FD, Colorado Co EMS, and Crosby EMS; TIFMAS partners from Kyle FD, Montgomery Co ESD 3, South Montgomery Co FD, Ft Worth FD, Community VFD, and Fresno FD. Crews are currently positioned in Plainview, TX and are available to assist local, regional and state agencies with wildland fire and severe weather.
