Today, on Law Enforcement Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting their communities.
Behind every badge is a commitment to service, sacrifice, and courage. We remember those who gave their lives in the line of duty and recognize the families, friends, and fellow officers who continue to carry their memory forward each day. Their dedication and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
This week, the Lovington Police Department honored Law Enforcement Memorial Week with something special each day for our officers and staff. We are incredibly grateful to our community partners who helped us show appreciation and remembrance throughout the week, including a beautiful grazing table from Peasant Plot Farms and The Royal Chef, sweet treats from Big Bear Ice Cream, delicious pizza from Patio Pizza, and our annual appreciation breakfast from Sara's Place.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this week meaningful. Your support for law enforcement and remembrance of those we have lost means more than words can express.
