The Mission of the Air National Guard Innovation Program

Our mission is to enable Airmen to make positive, meaningful change. This is a very expansive mission, but can be summed up into 5 main focus areas.
1. Drive an ANG culture change towards innovation
2. Provide a platform to enable innovation actions and connection
3. Provide ad hoc, ANG focused innovation curriculum
4. Engage the surrounding community with larger innovation challenges
5. Assist individual innovators

Louisville, KY - March 4, 2018. The Joint Force Headquarters of Kentucky-Air bid a fond farewell to Master Sergeant Kathy Romito with awards, the traditional headquarters silver mint julep cup and refreshments. Romito has served in the Kentucky Air Guard for more than 28 years. Romito began her military career in food services, eventually transitioning to personnel. During her Guard career, Romito deployed to Ecuador, England, Hawaii and Kuwait. “I’ll be glad to get my weekends back,” said Romito, “but I’ll definitely miss the camaraderie and the friendships I’ve made throughout my years in the Kentucky Guard.”
