USWP Mounted Patrol

USWP Mounted Patrol The Mounted Patrol is used for a variety of community functions Homeland Security Patrols, location of lost children, Search & Rescue.

We also do emergency horse transport, and safety patrols. We are also partners with the American Red Cross. The Mounted Patrol is used for a variety of community functions including Homeland Security Patrols and the location of lost children and Search & Rescue. This is all done as a public service we never charge or have a fee for our service.

Official Release: 05/24/2026,19:25. We will have our mounted patrol team out on HLS/PS patrol starting at 05:30 for the Memorial Day Holiday We will also be assisting the US Water Patrol for both water and Land coverage. Be safe and enjoy the Holiday.

4/29/2026, 19;00 hrs. Donna, one of our mounted patrol officers patrolling the Louisville Loop in Riverport assisted in a dirt bike hitting a car today at the entrance to Riverview park. Kid on the dirt bike suffered leg injury and a few scrapes.

Update ❄️ our downtown Louisville mill is open. Deliveries are TBD. All are encouraged to make feed picks ups at our location at 165 N Clay street Louisville.

02/25/2026, 00:45.Louisville KY. Team 2 will be on HLS / PS patrol along the Louisville Loop between LG&E Millcreek and LG&E Cain Run. Team 1 will be training in Body search and recovery with the US Water Patrol along the Lower Ohio River.

Angel is looking for her forever home, very sweet mare. Broke to ride but would be best suited for light riding only. Perfect kids first horse. She is an older mare, 25+ years old and about 15 hands tall. Does require some maintenance to keep her comfortable but is sound for light riding.

1/16/26, 21:30. While on a HLS/PS patrol on the Louisville Loop in SW Louisville we came across 3 people in a pick up truck dumping trash and building materials in a ditch along River Rd. when they noticed us approaching and taking pictures they quickly started reloading the truck and left. This is the 3rd time we have caught people actively dumping in a month.
