ABOUT FRED
Fred Mesropi has resided in Los Angeles County for nearly his entire life, and has served as Deputy District Attorney for the County of Los Angeles, since April, 2000. His sixteen-year tenure at the D.A.’s office has provided him the opportunity to try over fifty jury trials, over one thousand preliminary hearings, as well as countless motions, giving him immense experience in courtroom proceedings and a deep understanding of the proper application of law-critical traits for prudent and effective judgeship.
Fred has been a Deputy D.A. for all Angelinos! His commitment to serve wherever he was needed, has led him to serve the people of East Los Angeles, Montebello, South Pasadena, Pasadena, Culver City, Marina Del Rey, La Cresenta, La Canada, Alta dena, San Marino, Sierra Madre, Temple City, Monrovia, Arcadia, Burbank, San Fernando, Glendale, the entire San Fernando Valley, the Santa Clarita Valley, Canyon Country, Agua Dulce, Acton, Palmdale, Lancaster, Malibu and of course, the City of Los Angeles in South Los Angeles.
Recognized as an unwavering Deputy D.A., he has been assigned and has prosecuted several consequential cases involving child molestation, child abuse, murder, gang murder, domestic violence, attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and r**e.
Fred has been a tireless advocate for victims of crime his entire career, but During the past three years in particular, he has taken great satisfaction in fighting for a very special group of victims. Assigned to the “Victim Impact Program” (V.I.P.), Fred's primary focus has been on prosecuting cases involving child molestation. he also continues to prosecute and demand justice for victims of adult s*x crimes, domestic violence, and offenses involving human trafficking, elder abuse and child abuse.
Prior to his current assignment, Fred was selected to the Hardcore Gang Division. There, he not only served as a steadfast and resolute prosecutor of Gang Murders, he further served his community, by becoming part of the 77th C.L.E.A.R. anti-gang task force-a program involving several law enforcement agencies, with the goal of reducing gang activity in Los Angeles.
Among his colleagues in the District Attorney's Office, the bench and the defense bar alike, Fred Mesropi has earned a stellar reputation as a fair and ethical prosecutor who conducts himself with honesty and integrity-the two pillars of his own personal philosophy that govern every aspect of his life. Fred is passionate about his role in earning justice for his victims and their families. He is inspired daily, by the prospect of providing an opportunity for closure and a path to recovery for those effected by crime. He will undoubtedly do no less when he is elected as L.A. County Superior Court Judge for seat #158.
