Being nervous during conflict doesnât mean youâre bad at conflict.
Sometimes your body reacts before your brain has had a chance to catch up.
The racing heart. The blank mind. The urge to apologize. The need to escape.
These reactions can be informationânot instructions.
âš The reframe: You donât have to eliminate anxiety before you advocate for yourself. You can feel nervous AND still pause, ask questions, set boundaries, speak honestly, or choose to step away.
Conflict confidence isnât about becoming someone who never gets uncomfortable.
Itâs about building enough awareness to say:
âI feel this. I can handle this. And I still get to choose what happens next.â
