🚗💸 Got unpaid City of Los Angeles parking tickets?

If you're experiencing homelessness or are currently unhoused, you may be able to satisfy eligible City of Los Angeles parking tickets through community service instead of paying fines.

Through the LADOT Community Assistance Parking Program (CAPP), participants can complete volunteer hours with approved community organizations, including .

✅ Eligible participants may: • Resolve eligible LA City parking tickets through community service • Connect with supportive services • Gain volunteer experience while working toward clearing citations

📋 You may qualify if you: • Are experiencing homelessness or are unhoused • Have parking tickets issued by the City of Los Angeles • Are the registered owner of the vehicle • Have a non-commercial vehicle

🍎 Important CalFresh update for adults receiving food benefits.

Starting June 1, 2026, some adults ages 18–64 who receive CalFresh may need to meet certain work requirements to continue receiving benefits for more than 3 months within a 36-month period, unless they qualify for an exemption.

If you currently receive CalFresh — or plan to apply — it’s important to understand these upcoming changes and whether they may affect you.

You could qualify for important tax credits and refunds — even if you didn’t make a lot of money last year. JBAY shared that current and former foster youth are receiving an average tax return of $1,857 for the 2025 tax year 👀
