🚨 ARREST MADE 🚨

Deputies from South Los Angeles Station responded to a call of suspicious activity after a community member reported two men inside a manhole and a lookout vehicle nearby.

A short time later, Deputies observed the vehicle leaving the area with three suspects inside. Deputies conducted a traffic stop, which led to the detention of all occupants.

A subsequent investigation revealed the suspects were in possession of:
🔧 Burglary tools
🔪 Cutting tools
🎭 Masks used to conceal identity
🔩 Stolen copper

All three suspects were arrested and charged with Grand Theft of Copper.

This arrest is a direct result of community vigilance and proactive police work.

This year, Baker to Vegas hits different.

We run in honor of Det. Joshua Kelly Eklund, a brother we will never forget.

And with heavy hearts, we run for Deputy Vargas, who tragically passed away during the race. What’s meant to bring us together also reminds us how real the risks are, even here.

No words can fully capture it.

But we run anyway… for them. For their families. For every name we carry with us.

Forever remembered. Never forgotten.
