We are so grateful for Ryan Larson ! Ryan is an incredible actor, model, and human being. A few weeks ago, he began a fundraiser for 1736 Family Crisis Center on his Cameo account. https://www.cameo.com/ryanlarsonofficial

The Community Food Distribution Project is CANCELLED TOMORROW, Friday, July 24, 2026, due to parking lot construction/resurfacing.

Food distribution will resume in August on Friday, August 14, 2026. We will post more details prior to this event.

Although summertime is here, it won’t be long for area kids to be back to school.

Please consider purchasing some back-to-school supplies for children and youth in our shelter and outpatient programs. It’s as simple as clicking through the Amazon Wish List below or the QR code on the post image, selecting the item(s) you would like to help with, and completing the transaction. The supplies you purchase will be sent directly to our main Los Angeles office location where staff will be ready to distribute your gift to our families. We couldn't be more grateful for a recent new mattress donation from a local mattress distributor. Wow - 11 new mattresses headed to our shelters and in support of our housing services!

The mattress distributor wishes to remain anonymous but we had to give a shout out about the donation. Items like new mattresses are so necessary for our families and operations. So when we receive a gift like this we want to shout! 💜

Please join us for our community food distribution tomorrow, Friday, July 10, at 9 am!

On Friday, 7-10-26, from 9 am until all bags have been given away, 1736 Family Crisis Center will be distributing dry goods, produce and bread. Each food bag is filled with canned foods, grains, fresh fruit/vegetables, and bread.

It's advisable to arrive early as a line begins to form well before 9 am and available food is distributed quickly.

WHERE: 2116 Arlington Avenue, Los Angeles 90018 (distribution tables in the parking area)

This food distribution event takes place every 2nd and 4th Friday and is made possible through a partnership with The Sam Simon Feeding Families Foundation.

The most amazing gift came our way recently from Moose Toys - Los Angeles! Moose Toys We were so please to pick up eight huge boxes of toys for our families. We even had to make two trips!
