Illegal dumping negatively impacts our neighborhoods and the environment. Thanks to LA Sanitation & Environment | Public Works for their work removing trash and debris from two locations in Mission Hills and Sylmar.

It was a pleasure meeting with parents, school administrators, teachers, and students at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Tujunga to discuss the importance of civic engagement and how local government works here in Los Angeles.

Earlier this year, I introduced a resolution supporting AB 2319—legislation to establish California’s first standalone post-production tax credit—and the City Council unanimously voted to support it.

Now that the State Legislature has passed AB 2319, we have a critical opportunity to bring vital post-production jobs back to Los Angeles, creating real economic opportunities for our entertainment workers, local small businesses, and working families who depend on this industry.

I’m calling on Governor Newsom to sign AB 2319 into law, complete our state’s tax incentive landscape, and help keep these jobs in Los Angeles and California.

👓 Over 200 free eye exams, and brand-new prescription glasses! This past weekend, my office brought our Vision Clinic to Pacoima City Hall to help families get ready for the new school year.

Families enjoyed food, live entertainment, giveaways, and local resources while connecting with organizations that are doing incredible work in our community.
