What are you doing Thursday evening March 5... how about a glass of wine, some appetizers and a great art show?
TVAA member Roger Kellman is having a one man "Abstract Art Show" at LAC. Opening reception from 5 to 7PM this Fri. If you're within driving distance and the weather is good, why not stop by for a drink and support another TVAA member. Passing along this opportunity:

The New England Mosaic is kicking off its 2026 efforts at eight local libraries and the West Springfield Senior Center. The Mosaic, sponsored by the Agawam Community Artists and Artisans invites high school students and older to paint/create a small 6’x6” canvas which becomes part of a 24-foot Mosaic. The canvases are sold at two events in August with net proceeds going to fund scholarships for Western Mass high schools and college students pursuing an education in visual arts. This year’s theme is “New England Treasures”.

Whether this would be your first canvas ever or if you are a seasoned artist, we invite you pick up free canvas at any of the following libraries: Agawam, West Springfield, Westfield, Southwick, East Forest Park, East Longmeadow, Longmeadow, Chicopee, or the West Springfield Senior Center. Details are included with each canvas. Plan to return your canvas to your library by May 15.

Whether you create a canvas or not, please attend the Mosaic Unveiling on Aug 5, from 5:00pm -7:00 pm at the Agawam Municipal Golf Course to see the Mosaic, perhaps see a canvas you would like, and support this scholarship.
