Today, Detective Cameron Verrier was formally recognized as the New Hampshire American Legion’s 2025 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. Detective Verrier was honored during the American Legion’s annual summit.
The New Hampshire American Legion Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award is presented annually to recognize exceptional service, professionalism, and dedication within the law enforcement profession. The award is administered by the Jeremy Charron Law Enforcement American Legion Post 122, an organization composed of both veterans and current and former law enforcement officers. Named in honor of Epsom Police Officer Jeremy Charron, who was killed in the line of duty while displaying extraordinary courage and dedication, the award reflects the values of service, sacrifice, and commitment to community.
Detective Verrier received this award for his outstanding work as the department’s juvenile detective. In this role, he handles some of the department’s most difficult cases involving our most vulnerable victims. Specifically, he was recognized for his work on two s*xual assault investigations—one involving a known s*x offender and another in which a juvenile was kidnapped and transported across state lines.
Throughout these investigations, Detective Verrier remained dedicated to seeking justice for the victims while treating them with compassion and professionalism.
Thank you to the American Legion for recognizing Detective Verrier’s hard work and dedication.
Keep up the outstanding work, Detective Verrier, and thank you for your continued dedication to the Town of Londonderry.
