Purpose: The purpose of the Village of Lombard's social media sites is to present matters of public interest related to the Village of Lombard and to provide a forum for discussion that is inclusive, social, and constructive. We encourage you to submit your questions, comments, and concerns, but please note that this is a moderated online discussion site and not a public forum. Keep it civil and on topic; no profanity, vulgarity, slurs or personal attacks. The Village of Lombard reserves the right to delete comments, photographs or videos deemed to be offensive, antagonistic, illegal, or that violate the rights of, harm, or threaten the safety of others or that otherwise violate these Terms of Service. The following is a partial list of the kind of User Content that is prohibited:
1. Material which is abusive, discriminatory or hateful on account of race, national origin, religion, age, gender, disability or sexual orientation.
3. Threats, personal attacks, harassment or advocating the harassment of another person.
4. Campaigning, politicking or electioneering.
5. Solicitations or advertisements.
6. Potentially libelous statements or material.
7. Impersonating any person or entity or falsely misrepresenting your affiliation with any other person or entity.
8. Anonymous comments.
9. Behavior invasive of another person's or entity's privacy.
10. Promoting or providing information that you know to be false or misleading.
11. Promoting or providing instructional information about illegal activities.
12. Infringing any patent, copyright, trademark, service mark, trade secret or other proprietary right of any other party.
13. Comments unrelated to the business of the Village of Lombard, or the discussion or material posted by the Village. Compliance with Local Records Law: The Village's social media sites are subject to the Local Records Retention Act; therefore content shall be managed in accordance with these laws. Intellectual Property: The Village seal and any other departmental logos, designs, or symbols are the exclusive property of the Village and are legally protected.
