It was my honor to recognize each of our young participants. Livingston is one of the few municipalities in New Jersey to offer a Junior Police Academy—an incredible program that gives our youth a firsthand look at what it means to serve as a law enforcement officer. The experience also introduces them to the dedicated first responders who serve our township every day.

A heartfelt thank you to the Livingston NJ Police Department and all of our first responder partners for making this program such a meaningful success. Investing in our youth, building trust, and strengthening community relationships is what makes Livingston Township, NJ special.

New Jersey’s new e-bike and electronic vehicle law goes into effect on July 19. This change will impact many residents more than they may realize.

To help educate our community, the Livingston NJ Police Department has created this helpful resource. Please take a moment to review it, share it with family and friends, and help spread awareness.

While no law is perfect, the goal is clear: to promote safer riding for both our youth and adults. Electronic vehicles have become increasingly common in our neighborhoods, parks, and roadways. As their use continues to grow, it is important that we understand the rules, recognize the risks, and encourage responsible operation.

Education and awareness are key to preventing accidents and ensuring that riders, pedestrians, and motorists can safely share our streets. Let’s work together to keep our community informed and safe.

PS: Please don’t ever forget to wear your helmet while riding your bike, it saves lives. Take it from someone who rides regularly with group of seasoned riders - it’s important!

In the face of rising costs, persistent inflation, and a challenging fiscal environment, Livingston Township, NJ has once again demonstrated responsible financial stewardship. The proposed Township budget remains fiscally prudent, with the Township’s portion of the tax rate increase staying below the current inflation rate of 4.2%.

This budget reflects our commitment to maintaining essential services, investing in our community, and planning for the future while remaining mindful of the impact on taxpayers.

Thank you to our CFO and her staff, Township Management, and every municipal department for careful planning and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Proud to be part of Finance Subcommittee deep-diving our spend and revenue line items along with Ed Meinhardt.

I’ve always said it — in today’s world, clear communication depends on modern technology and consistent messaging. Kudos to our Water Department for their excellent work, and to our Communications Department for getting this important update out quickly and effectively. Special shoutout as well for proactively making changes to Fire Hydrant before the road work 👏🏽, evidence of township departments working cohesively.

Great to cut the ribbon at the grand reopening of the renovated Village ShopRite, a place that plays a real role in the day-to-day lives of our residents and my own family.

Thank you to the Sumas family for continuing to invest in our community, including a fully certified Kosher Bakery, and to Rabbi Klibanoff and Rabbi Proops for being part of the event.

A wonderful milestone for a store that remains an important part of Livingston.
