Wildlife Wonderland

Wildlife Wonderland A animal rescue providing permanent homes for exotic animals, offering educational tours & programs.
(2)

Wildlife Wonderland is very passionate about each and every species that is part of our troop and we take great pride in being able to educate kids and adults about the animals statuses the wild, the affect we have on the environment and the truth of what sacrifice goes in to taking these animals on as "pets". a lot of our videos and such are cute an funny but don't let that fool you in to thinkin

g any of these babies are at all easy, in fact as a mother of 3 I would consider it equal to having a toddler. I hope we are able to open eyes and prevent people from impulsively buying exotics.

🐒🏝️ Two days ago we did the unthinkable… we loaded eight lemurs onto the yacht and officially moved them to Lemur Island.

To say we were nervous would be an understatement. Introducing new lemurs is never simple, and we had no way of knowing if everyone would truly get along once they were given such a large space together.

One of the most interesting things to watch has been the social dynamics developing. If you didn’t know ring tailed lemurs are female dominant meaning one female typically takes on the role of matriarch and helps keep the troop in line. Right now, Aubrey seems determined to claim that position and honestly, she’s doing a pretty good job of letting everyone know she’s in charge.

As for the boys? Many of you have joked that Julian deserves to finally earn his title as King Julian and we’re starting to think you might be right. 👑😂

Lemur Island is still a work in progress and we still need to complete the island structure fully enclosing and insulating it so the lemurs can have a temperature controlled building for the heat of summer and cold of winter. If you’d like to help us continue building this dream for the animals every donation makes a difference.

Wildlife Wonderland is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and we couldn’t do any of this without our incredible supporters.

It’s 5 dollar FRIDAY & I want to be completely honest with you guys today.

Running a rescue has never been cheap but lately it feels like everything has skyrocketed. Produce costs have tripled, Animal feed costs have went up and Building supplies cost more than it has in a long time. Every single thing we need to keep Wildlife Wonderland running has increased, and we’re doing everything we can to adjust and stretch every dollar as far as possible.

At the same time we just welcomed SEVEN new rescue animals who had nowhere else to go.

Between preparing enclosures for the new arrivals, working around the clock to get Lemur Island completed, feeding over 100 animals every day, and handling the never ending maintenance that comes with rescue life things have been hectic and honestly overwhelming.

We are due for our produce run and we have not met our food fund goal.

If everyone who follows and supports Wildlife Wonderland contributed the cost of a coffee today, it would make an enormous difference for the animals who depend on us every single day.

Some days I carry the stress of this rescue so heavily that it keeps me awake at night. The responsibility of making sure every animal is fed, healthy, safe and cared for never stops. But then I look at the faces of the animals we’ve saved…the ones nobody else wanted and I know giving up isn’t an option.

If Wildlife Wonderland has ever made you smile, taught you something, inspired you, or given you a reason to believe people can still make a difference, please consider helping us today.

We need our internet fam right now more than ever.

From the bottom of my hearts and tips of our tails thank you for helping us continue this mission and give these animals the lives they deserve.

Please also remember that a lot of our animals are still looking to secure a sponsor and we hope you’ll explore that option on our website at www.wildlifewonderland.org

Thank you all so much we wish you all a happy and safe Friday and thank you again and endlessly for standing behind us through thick and thin.

🐒🏝️ THE DAY HAS FINALLY ARRIVED… LEMUR ISLAND IS OFFICIALLY UP AND RUNNING!

🙏After seven months of blood, sweat, tears, setbacks, problem solving, and countless hours of hard work, today we watched a dream become reality.

💭🤔Back in November Lemur Island was just an idea, A vision, A goal that felt almost impossible at times but thanks to it’s a reality for these amazing lemur’s!
Today eight lemurs took their first steps onto their very own island.

💚 Juliette
💚 Aubrey
💚 Mason
💚 Julian
💚 Oswald
💚 Kip Adams
💚 Mickey
💚 Minnie

❤️Watching them explore, climb and enjoy a space designed specifically for them has been one of the most rewarding moments of my entire rescue journey.

🏠What makes this even more special is knowing where some of these animals came from. Julian and Juliette spent two years living in a tiny box before arriving at Wildlife Wonderland. Today they live on an island ..An actual island.
That transformation is why we do this.

‼️None of this would have been possible without the incredible people who believed in this project from the very beginning.

💪🙏A huge thank you to Brandy at Vickery Dirt for sponsoring this project, expanding the pond, building the island, and helping turn this dream into a reality. Thank you to Nick for the endless hours of building, planning, and making the impossible happen. Thank you to Peyton and Anna for stepping in when we were racing against deadlines and helping us get across the finish line.

🫶And thank YOU every donor, supporter, follower, sponsor, and member of our internet family. This island doesn’t belong to Wildlife Wonderland alone. It belongs to every single person who helped make it happen.

💞Together, we changed these animals’ lives forever.
From the bottom of our hearts to the tips of our tails thank you for believing in our mission and helping us give animals the lives they deserve.

Now stay tuned for Part 2… because watching the lemurs settle into island life has already been absolutely incredible. 🐒🏝️✨

‼️TALK ABOUT EXHAUSTING‼️The same day we wrangled six lemurs to go on the Island we also welcomed SEVEN new rescues to Wildlife Wonderland.

😅Needless to say, it was a nonstop 12 hour day of lifting, building, hauling, cleaning, and problem solving.
📝Our original plan was to move our newly surrendered ring tails Mickey and brown lemur in a large enclosure after relocating our ruffed lemurs. But after spending time discussing behaviors and personalities with their former owners we all agreed that Mickey and Minnie would be a much better fit joining our current Lemur Island crew.

🐒🏝️That means Lemur Island will soon be home to EIGHT lemurs!

🏠Luca was set up in his own new enclosure for now while we work on determining the best companion for him.

🛠️The coatimundi enclosure was another huge project We spent nearly two hours installing chain link across the entire floor because coatimundis are notorious diggers and escape artists.

🙏We want to give a huge thank you to the family surrendering these animals. They stayed and worked alongside us until the very end to help make sure every animal was safely settled into their new home. Now everyone is safe, everyone is settling in, and we are one giant step closer to making Lemur Island official.

‼️The only thing left is Getting the lemurs onto the darn island. 🤞

👀Stay tuned for what may be one of the most exciting chapters in Wildlife Wonderland history.

⚠️We are still actively fundraising to complete the temperature controlled Lemur Island building, which will keep the lemurs cool during our brutal Texas summers and warm during the winter months.

🐒🏝️WE WRANGLED6 LEMURS TODAY
This is it… the first official step toward Lemur Island becoming a reality!

Before anyone can move onto the island, we have to make sure everyone is comfortable with one another. So we spent the day capturing and bringing the future island residents insidE where I’ve strategically arranged their crates so they can safely see, smell, and interact with each other through the wire. This gives them a chance to get familiar with one another before sharing such a large space together.

Aubrey, Mason, Julian, Juliette, Kip Adams, and Oswald all made the move inside, and to make things even more exciting, our two newly surrendered ring tailed lemurs are also joining the LEMUR Island crew! They’re currently settling in and getting to know everyone from the comfort of the living room.

The goal is simple: a peaceful, happy island where our lemurs can thrive together. 💚

What makes this even crazier is that all of this happened on the same day we welcomed seven new rescue animals into Wildlife Wonderland. It’s been exhausting, exciting, stressful, and rewarding all at the same time.

I want to take a moment to say that we are desperately in need of volunteers. If you’re in or around Livingston, Texas, and have ever thought about helping a rescue, we could truly use the extra hands right now. It’s just us trying to juggle over 100 animals, daily care, new intakes, and major projects like Lemur Island.

Thank you all for following along on this journey. Watching this dream slowly become reality has been incredible, and we can’t wait to share the next chapter with you all.

I needed a smile today, so I went to spend some time with these two cuties for some much needed laughs, cuddles and a reminder of what I’m fighting so hard for.

These past two months have been incredibly draining emotionally, physically, and financially. Our accounts have been stretched thin, support has slowed down, and honestly, your girl is starting to panic because If this becomes the new normal I’m not sure how long I can keep wildlife wonderland standing alone.

Wildlife Wonderland survives because of all of you. Every bag of food, every medical bill, every enclosure improvement, every rescue, and every second chance is only possible because people choose to care. We truly rely on every single one of you to help keep these animals fed, happy, healthy and safe.

Right now we need our online fam more than ever.

The animals who need us most are often the ones nobody else wants the difficult cases, the misunderstood ones, the ring tailed lemurs that will never be friendly to anyone. No one is lining up to take in an animal that might never like them. But those animals deserve love too and loving the “not so lovable” has always been my specialty.

I’m trying my best to stay positive and believe we’ll get through this rough patch together. If you’ve ever considered donating, sharing our posts, purchasing something from our wishlist, sponsoring an animal, or simply helping spread the word, now would be the time. Every little bit helps more than you know.

🚨 EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER FOR LEMUR ISLAND (please read caption)🚨
In 8 days, SEVEN animals in desperate need of placement are supposed to arrive at Wildlife Wonderland… and right now, we are not ready because we are missing ONE critical thing:
🏡A temperaturecontrolled building on Lemur Island.

❗️Without it our current lemur residents cannot safely move onto the island which means we cannot open the enclosures needed for the incoming rescues.
And we CANNOT delay this intake again.

‼️These animals are losing their home due to circumstances completely outside of their control. This is exactly why we have spent MONTHS building Lemur Island since November 2025.
Not for aesthetics
Not because we enjoy mosquito bites and emotional damage
But because this project allows us to save MORE animals.

🛠️Right now we need to raise the funds that allow us to finish the temperature controlled structure IMMEDIATELY.

Once it’s completed:
✔ Our current lemurs can safely move onto the island
✔ Their existing enclosures can be converted for the incoming rescues
✔ Seven animals will have a safe place to call home
✔ Wildlife Wonderland can continue helping animals with nowhere else to turn

⚠️Donations are at an all time low right now and while we completely understand that times are hard for everyone, rescue animals do not stop needing food, housing, vet care, heating, cooling, and safe environments.
We have stretched every dollar.
We have exhausted every option.
And now we are asking for help because we genuinely cannot do this alone.
🙏These animals are counting on us.
And we are counting on YOU.

🫶Please if Wildlife Wonderland has ever made you smile, laugh, learn something, or care a little more about misunderstood animals… now is the time to help us keep going

POV: I accidentally recorded the moment Steven became WAY too interested in Dexter’s “black hole.”

😅Like… this wasn’t curiosity anymore. This became a full scientific study. The progression was hilarious now yall get to witness it too. A boy learning boundaries in real time.

🫶The good news? These two have been getting along AMAZINGLY and Steven is even learning some much needed respect for others private areas. We’re so excited to watch this friendship grow and hope you stick around for the chaos. 🖤

😂At Wildlife Wonderland, every day is basically a nature documentary mixed with a reality show.

❗️From a wild dream, to watching Lemur Island finally come to life. Let’s do a before and after to celebrate!

✨Seeing the transformation of the pond into Lemur Island has been one of the most emotional and rewarding journeys we’ve ever taken on here at Wildlife Wonderland. What started as an overgrown vision is now becoming something truly incredible for the animals.

❗️BUT… we’re not done yet. 👀

⚠️The next phase is the biggest one yet making Lemur Island officially home to the lemurs. 🐒🌿
Now comes the hard part: building the temperature controlled building and everything needed to safely move everybody onto the island and make this dream a reality. This next chapter is going to take a huge community effort, and we’re hoping everyone continues believing in this project alongside us. 🖤

💞Every donation, share, comment, wishlist item, and word of encouragement helps us get one step closer to opening Lemur Island officially and giving these animals something truly special.

✨We cannot WAIT to show you what comes next and finish this with you by our side✨

🌴✨ WELCOME TO LEMUR ISLAND EVERYONE✨🌴

‼️This is one of the BIGGEST milestones in Wildlife Wonderland history and honestly feels surreal to finally say out loud.

🏡When we moved to Texas under heartbreaking and emergent circumstances, we had no idea what God’s plan truly was for us. Looking back now, every setback led us exactly where we needed to be. Texas gave us the ability to dream bigger, build bigger, and ultimately save more animals than we ever imagined possible.

🌴🐒Lemur Island is more than just a habitat. It’s a symbol of growth, second chances, and the future of this rescue.
❗️❤️A HUGE thank you to Brandy at dirt for sponsoring this project and believing in our mission wholeheartedly. Your support helped turn a dream into reality and we are endlessly grateful.
🙏And an endless thank you to all of you!!!! Every donation, share, comment, and word of encouragement helped build this moment.

⚠️ THIS IS ONLY PART ONE… 👀
Now comes the next phase:
✨ Building structures & safety areas
✨ Moving the lemurs onto the island
✨ Creating enrichment spaces
✨ Finishing this dream together

💪🏡This is going to take a village and we cannot do it alone. We’ll be needing all the help we can get as we continue building something truly magical for these animals.
