Transformation Tuesday post from an event I did 4 years ago. Backstory is my client was throwing a 40th birthday and she wanted to have a wine tasting element to it but because of the amount of people she was inviting, the cold and possible rainy weather and layout of her home we were going to need to use the garage. She was not feeling excited about it at all until I came up with the idea to turn it into an actual Tasting Room. We invited Longevity Wines and Page Mill Winery to pour, I ordered pipe and draping to close in the space and warm it up and make it more cozy (the party was in February) and I had my husband build barn doors to create a rustic backdrop and farm style wood table tops to place over wine barrels to use throughout the garage and I had him string some bistro lighting for me and I have to say...it turned out legit! Jen of JBG Designs did all of gorgeous calligraphy for me, I purchased all of the food for charcuterie boards and cake table from and we had amazing and delicious appetizers served by Joanne of JGourmet Catering and the night became one of my most favorite events I ever planned and styled. Not to mention my client was a dream to work with. Moral of the story is any place/location can be made into magic with a little creativity and teamwork!
