🚁 Today we had the opportunity to experience the future of public safety aviation.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was honored to attend a Pivotal BlackFly eVTOL Demonstration at Catawba Meadows Park in Burke County.

Lincoln County Special Operations team members had the opportunity to:

✈️ Observe live flight demonstrations of the Pivotal BlackFly (eVTOL) aircraft.

🛡️ Learn how emerging aviation technology could support future public safety missions, including emergency response, search and rescue, disaster operations, and rapid deployment.

👨‍✈️ Sit inside the aircraft, explore its capabilities, and speak directly with those involved in its operation and development.

🤝 Connect with fellow law enforcement, fire, EMS, and emergency management professionals while discussing how innovative aviation technologies may shape the future of public safety.

As technology continues to evolve, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office remains committed to evaluating innovative solutions that can improve response capabilities, enhance operational effectiveness, and better serve the citizens of Lincoln County.

CAROLINAS FIRE PAGE is deeply saddened to report the passing of actor Randolph Mantooth who played Firefighter-Paramedic Johnny Gage on EMERGENCY! during the 1970s. Randy was 80 years old.

With a Double Blind Search Exercise taking place on 7/25/26 we have the man, the myth, the legend Roland Hamrick coming in to teach this month's in-serice on "Reflex Tasking." On June 27th, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Team was proud to participate in the Walmart Car Show in Denver in support of the Children's Miracle Network Campaign.

Our team enjoyed meeting so many members of the community, answering questions about our Special Operations capabilities, and giving families an up-close look at our specialized vehicles, tactical equipment, and drone program. It was a great opportunity to showcase how these resources help us protect and serve the citizens of Lincoln County.

One of the best parts of the day was seeing so many kids climb aboard our Vehicle, meet our team members, and learn more about law enforcement in a fun and positive environment. Events like these help build lasting relationships with our community while supporting an incredible cause that benefits children and their families.

A special thank you to Walmart, the event organizers, the car owners, vendors, and everyone who came out to support the Children's Miracle Network Campaign. We appreciate the opportunity to be part of such a great community event and thank everyone who stopped by to visit with us.
