Superintendent Greathead is leaving huge shoes to fill, but his retirement is well deserved and we are so happy for what’s to come for him and his family. We are committed to finding a new superintendent that aligns with the warrior way!!

After 15 years of dedicated leadership, Superintendent Mark Greathead has announced his retirement, effective June 30, 2026.

Under his guidance, WBSD has grown academically, expanded opportunities for students, enhanced facilities, and strengthened its financial foundation. We are deeply appreciative of his service and look forward to celebrating his impact with our community.

This!!! A perfect addition to what we already do for safety and responsiveness.

The Woodhaven-Brownstown School District installed a new technology that allows teachers to press a button on their lanyard in case there’s an emergency.

I take such pride in the tools, equipment, and training that have been put in place in my last 3 years on the school board. Safety is a continuous process improvement topic amongst our administrators and board. The WBSD never hesitates to make thoughtful and thorough changes when safety concerns present themselves.

Year after year homecoming creates memories that will last a lifetime. From relationships built during the weeks of float building prior to the game to 5 year old Warrior Elite cheerleaders walking behind their senior cheer role models in the parade. And finally, a Saturday spent full of preparation for the homecoming dance. The sense of community is always so strong. Whether it’s your first freshman homecoming or one of the many senior lasts, I wish all of our Warrior families a safe and unforgettable evening.

The giving season is upon us. Warrior Elite Athletic Club is hosting a Toys for Tots donation event at this weekends competition. Even if you don’t plan to attend the game, you can stop by the WHS high school football field anytime from 9-3 to drop off donation.
