Harnett County Emergency Management, EMS, and the Fire Marshal’s Office had a great time visiting the Lillington Parks & Recreation Summer Camp today!

Campers had the opportunity to explore the Mobile Command Unit, Hovercraft, Fire Marshal On-Call Vehicle, and an EMS ambulance while learning about the important work performed by Harnett County Emergency Services.

We always enjoy spending time with the next generation of leaders and hope that by sharing our experiences, we can inspire some future firefighters, paramedics, emergency managers, and public safety professionals to serve their community one day.

A special thank you to Fire Marshal Rodney Daniels, Deputy Fire Marshal Brian Heath, Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator Danielle Elliott, Paramedic Adriana Young, and AEMT Kelsey Baetz for taking the time to attend and educate campers about the many services provided by Harnett County Emergency Services.

Thank you to Lillington Parks & Recreation for inviting us to be part of such a great program!

Harnett County Emergency Services staff from Emergency Management Division, EMS Division, and the Fire Marshal’s Office attended the groundbreaking ceremony this morning for the new Fire Training Center that will be constructed on the Central Carolina Community College Harnett Main Campus.

This facility will be a tremendous asset for first responders across our region as they continue pursuing high-quality training to better serve their communities.

We are grateful for the support and leadership of Senator Jim Burgin, Representative Howard Penny, and Representatives Joe Pike for helping make this project possible through funding provided by the North Carolina General Assembly.

Their partnership and commitment, alongside the Harnett County Fire Chiefs Association and Central Carolina Community College, helped turn this long-awaited vision into a reality for Harnett County.

National EMS Week is a time to recognize and celebrate the dedication of Emergency Medical Services professionals across the nation who provide lifesaving care every day.

This week, Harnett County Emergency Services proudly honors the paramedics, EMTs, supervisors, and support personnel of Harnett County EMS for their commitment to serving our community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Here in Harnett County, EMS week is more than a national observance. It is a time to come together and honor the lifesaving work performed everyday by Harnett County EMS.

EMS professionals are there during life’s most critical moments — delivering compassionate care, responding during emergencies, supporting public health, and helping improve outcomes for the patients and communities they serve.

Please join us this week in thanking all EMS professionals for their service, sacrifice, and dedication to caring for others. If you see our great EMS staff out and about, a simple gesture goes a long way in recognizing the sacrifices they make, often working long hours, missing time with family and answering the call day or night 24/7.

Thank you, Harnett County EMS!
