Hats off to the Chamber, sponsors and vendors who made Cape Fear Fest a fun filled day. Loren Leake’s singing the National Anthem was spectacular, colors presented by the National Sojourners, music by Powers of Sound, Voices of Praise, Nolan Reed and the Regulators. Fun had by everyone.

Hats off to the amazing Cornelia Stewart awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine honored by Sen. Jim Burgin, Mayor Glenn McFadden, Jim Hauser of Congressman Brad Knott’s office and the Harnett Health Foundation and presented with flags flown over our and national and state capitals.

Hats off to Melvin Yow presented with a Resolution of Appreciation by Mayor Glenn McFadden from the Town of Lillington honoring his dedication and service to the community as a founder and Chief of the Summerville Fire Department, recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine and induction into the NC Drag Racing Hall of Fame, along with his accomplishments as a business leader and family man.
