Protecting Our Tax Dollars and Strengthening Our Community 🍎

When we talk about fully funding our public schools, we’re talking about a smart investment in our futures.

For many of us, our home is our biggest asset, and nothing protects property values more than a strong, high-performing local school district. When our schools thrive, our whole community becomes more attractive to new families and businesses, keeping our local economy growing and our neighborhoods vibrant.

The current voucher system often sends our hard-earned tax dollars away from our local community to private institutions that don’t have the same transparency or public oversight. By keeping that money in our local public schools, we ensure that your tax dollars are managed by locally elected school boards that are directly accountable to you. This is about keeping our resources right here where we can see the results.

Strong public schools also mean a stronger, more disciplined workforce. When schools have the resources they need, they can focus on the basics: improving literacy, expanding vocational and technical training, and preparing the next generation to be productive, tax-paying citizens. This reduces the long-term costs of public assistance and the justice system, which saves every taxpayer money in the long run.

Removing vouchers isn’t about limiting options; it’s about ensuring the system that serves 90% of our children is the best it can be. Let’s stop “thinning out” our resources and instead focus on building a rock-solid foundation for our kids and our grandkids. Let’s invest in the schools that belong to all of us.

Vote Victoria Martz for Indiana House District 55. Let’s bring common-sense solutions back to our schools.
