💼 250 acres of economic development land at the Legacy Business Park

By utilizing our existing land for thoughtful development, and by prioritizing infill and redevelopment, Lexington has the potential to create 45,000-64,000 new housing units.

Council is currently considering a proposal that would relocate the Mint Lane pump station to Bowman Mill Road.

This is a dangerous proposal that, 𝘪𝘧 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥, would:

🏗️ Extend urban sewer infrastructure outside the USB (𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘨𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨-𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘺)

💰Use approximately $5 million more in taxpayer dollars

🏞️ Expose sensitive karst topography to development and put to two different underground springs at risk

Council should vote to affirm its longstanding policy that city infrastructure should be located inside the USB.

The Mint Lane pump station should not be relocated to private property outside the USB because it can be expanded in its current location to serve the community’s needs.
