The Wi******er Road Corridor Study is reaching an important milestone, and we want to hear from you! Join us for a Public Open House on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Charles Young Center Gym.

It was great spending the day with my Council
colleagues in our Council Ag Day. We had the opportunity to visit FoodChain, Clark Family Farm, and the Kentucky Horse Park. Each represent very different, yet very important, contributions to our agricultural economy here in Lexington.

Thank you to each facility that welcomed us and took time out of their busy schedule to give us a tour and a great education about how they do what they do.

It was a pleasure to join Governor Beshear, Mayor Gorton, Sen Thomas and many community members in supporting my Council colleague Hil Boone as he and his business partner cut the ribbon on Lexington’s only medical cannabis cultivation facility, Holler Cannabis.

The company will produce edibles, oils and vapes that will be sent to medical dispensaries serving people with qualifying conditions. Those conditions include cancer, chronic pain, epilepsy and PTSD. Cannabis is considered a safe alternative treatment for many conditions and is now regulated by the state for safety purposes.
