A Plan to Help You Remain Independent
PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a comprehensive health care program for seniors who have disabilities or health concerns and wish to remain in their home while receiving all needed medical and supportive services. PACE offers an entire continuum of care from medical services to medications, from nutritious meals to transportation – all

personalized to meet your specific needs. Carolina SeniorCare is proud to offer PACE services to the community. This model of health care has been in existence for over 30 years throughout the United States. The program focus is on prevention, wellness, and
a commitment to enhance the quality of life of seniors and their families through care and support. Eligibility
Carolina SeniorCare serves residents of Davidson, Rowan, Davie and Iredell Counties who are certified by the State of NC as eligible for nursing home care. You must be 55 or older and able to live safely in the community at the time of your enrollment. Costs
PACE is typically funded by Medicare and Medicaid to deliver necessary care. Our services may be provided at no additional cost if you are covered by
Medicare and/or Medicaid. If you qualify only for Medicare, there is a set monthly fee you will be asked to pay. Private pay seniors who aren’t covered
by Medicare or Medicaid, but choose to pay for our services, may also be accepted. Upon enrollment in the program, the participant agrees to receive all
health care services through PACE’s health care network of providers. Participants may be liable for the cost of medical services from an out-of-network
provider or without prior authorization with the exception of emergency services. PACE is a voluntary enrollment program; a participant may disenroll at any time. Our Care Team
Carolina SeniorCare PACE has doctors, nurses, therapists, dieticians, pharmacists, social workers, personal care aides and activities staff who work as
a team to help you stay at home and in the community. You’ll have peace of mind knowing a safety net of services is available to take care of your
needs. PACE Day Center
Our day center is open five days a week, with transportation services, and provides a fun and friendly place where you will find medical, rehab
and support services. You can take pleasure in meals with friends, enjoy social activities and get the support you need to make life more fulfilling. In-Home Services
We provide a variety of services in your home from vital home health care, to personal care, to help with homemaker services and routine chores. We Deliver All Inclusive care
Carolina SeniorCare PACE is a not-for profit provider of services under the sponsorship of United Church Homes and Services (UCHS), a ministry offering
senior services and senior housing for more than 40 years. Carolina SeniorCare
is committed to the wellness of seniors and to enhancing quality of life. Our

📆 Our activity calendars for June are already in motion, and wow! there's a lot going on. Please take a look at everything planned for the month, and see what makes sense for you or your loved one. The calendars are labeled at the bottom, and there's one connected to our Dogwood room and another to our Emerald room. There's no reason not to stay active and engaged this summer! 🎉

🎉 Sometimes, you just need a little extra celebration, so we hosted a Family Fun Day today!

☀ Sticking with a warm-weather theme, we enjoyed hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch. Then, we unleashed a host of activities! DJ Smoove spun tunes so that we could have a huge dance party. Later, we played co****le, beach volleyball, pick-a-duck, and darts. And to ensure that we had plenty of energy, we indulged in tasty treats like popcorn and snow cones. 🍿 🍧

🎨 Adding to the festivities were stations for face painting by our driver Alex and fairy hair by our hairdresser Angela. All in all, there were lots of laughs and memories made with our participants. A day well lived, indeed! 💯

🪺 Remember the days when you got a new Easter dress or suit each year, trading winter's dark garments for something light and pastel? We took that same concept, updated it, and ran with it recently!

👗 Our participants went out shopping with their families and came back with eye-catching, beautifully detailed outfits. So what did we do?

👡 We hosted a spring fashion show and modeled our new ensembles for fellow participants and staff! Our folks were thrilled and proud to show off their fashion sense and their carefully chosen new clothes, and there were lots of smiles and laughter along the way. 😊

🌟 Who doesn't enjoy a glow-up – or just being pampered in the midst of a busy day?

Our participants were treated to a special afternoon of beauty this week, courtesy of Melissa, a local MARY KAY consultant, and her spouse. 💅

🧴 They brought a variety of soothing hand creams, face creams, makeup, and other products to share, and our participants completely surrendered themselves to the experience.

🥰 They explored their own beauty, discovered ways to enhance it, and came away feeling confident about their individual features and attractiveness – men and women alike! After all, enjoying wonderful scents and sensations appeals to everyone!

📚 We love when the folks from the Davidson County Public Library System come to see us! Each month, they load up for a fun-filled visit and gather participants for a jam-packed slate of activities. 🚐

Typically, they regale us with a great story that prompts our participants to reminisce and share, and they bring supplies for a craft that always sparks delight. In addition, they frequently bring music to lift our spirits – we're partial to tunes from the '60s that make us dance! 🎶 💃🏽

April is National Occupational Therapy Month, and we've been honoring the OTs who bring comfort, confidence, and independence to the participants we serve. 📣

Occupational therapy helps people regain functional independence for activities of daily living, like bathing and dressing, while using a clinical model of care. They help with the mechanics of 'how' to do a task and provide support through physical rehabilitation, cognitive retraining, environmental modifications, and adaptive equipment. 🛀

Our OT teams encourage participants to stay engaged in the routines, hobbies, and moments that make life full. Their work is deeply personal, compassionate, and rooted in dignity. We're grateful for their patience and commitment in helping our participants thrive! 🌟
