Part of the discussions of our current Town Council has been how our Town can better support the small businesses that are here in our Town. I feel that the entrepreneurial spirit of our small businesses helps to drive our small town character.

The Mayor and I are hosting a Lewisville Small Business Roundtable discussion on Wednesday, April 15th at 6pm. The event will begin at 6pm at the Mary Alice Warren Community Center in the Lewisville room. This is a great opportunity for small business owners in our community to come and share their thoughts with us so that we can bring them back to the rest of the Council and our Town staff.

If you own a small business in our town, please RSVP by emailing our mayor at [email protected] to let us know you are coming!

This past Thursday and Friday, the Council and I spent time in Greensboro attending the Essentials of Municipal Government class, hosted by the North Carolina League of Municipalities and the UNC Chapel Hill School of Government.

We attended this training so that we can better serve YOU, the residents of Lewisville!

It was a joy to attend the local IUCA’s (Indo-US Cultural Association) event at our Mary Alice Warren Community Center this past Saturday! They made our Mayor and I feel like such welcomed guests. We have so many wonderful people that make up our little town!

Everyone please stay safe and be aware of the resources shared in the below post while we are under this winter weather. Our Town Public Works staff have worked hard to pretreat town owned roads. Enjoy your snow day, Lewisville!

📢 Public Service Announcement: Winter Weather Safety

⚠️ For your safety, residents are strongly encouraged to stay home and avoid unnecessary travel during this winter storm.

Town crews are monitoring weather conditions and maintaining roadways. Please note that State-maintained roads are cleared by the NCDOT.

Lewisville parks are closed due to inclement weather.

Please report the following as needed:
• Emergencies: Call 911 only for life-threatening situations
• Power outages: Duke Power at 800-769-3766
• Downed trees: Fire Departments or Lewisville Public Works
• Possible water main breaks: CityLink at 336-727-8000
• Non-emergencies: Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office at 336-727-2112

Conditions may change quickly. Thank you for giving crews the space they need to work and for helping keep our community safe.

I heard that Santa’s sleigh broke down… thankfully we had the Lewisville Fire Department to bring him to our Town Square! What a great time at our Town Christmas Tree Lighting!

With the holidays approaching us and we do holiday shopping, let’s support our local businesses that are here in Lewisville! They contribute to our town in so many ways and their entrepreneurial spirit greatly contributes to the small-town character of Lewisville. We appreciate each of them!
