Henderson "Hose" Hook & Ladder historical Dec 19 1853 H.H.H & L Co No #1 Henderson Historical Society is committed to preserving the history of fire and EMS services throughout Mifflin County.

Henderson H.H & L H.S is dedicated to preserving the Henderson Fire Company's history and operates, The Friends of the LFD which is dedicated to preserving the history of the Lewistown Fire Department for future generations. Based in Lewistown, PA, we honor the legacy of the Henderson Hose Hook & Ladder Company, which was officially organized on December 19, 1853 and served until its retirement in 1994.

Looking for something fun to do this gooseday? Then join us for lucky Friday! This years annual gooseday celebration you can learn about the history of the Lewistown Fire Department and try your luck at rescuing a firefighter! We'll items from the Henderson Fire Company, stickers for kids and if it's not to hot we'll have a firefighter walking around in retro gear for kids to get a picture with and stickers from!
So don't miss this lucky Friday September 25th in Lewistown! We'll be at the every from 5:00 to 9:00! So stop by to see us!

Yesterday during our meeting one of our members Steve Gibbons graciously added more items to the official Henderson collection.

Items donated are as follows,
Henderson Second LT Helmet,
Four Trophy from the Henderson,
Three hose couplings,
Three bunker coats,
One pair of hip boots/Three quarters boots
Two Henderson frontal pieces.

Although some of the items donated aren't shown a few of these items will be displayed at future events.
