The Finish Line Prayer

During my fast I only drank water and would take my bible to read by the pond. This is when I started to see the world in a way that no human eye has ever seen before. I saw the world through God’s eyes and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! I knew that the Lord was trying to show me something incredible when a tiny little fly flew onto my arm. When I shook my arm to try and get that little fly off of me it did not move. I was able to see every detail, its eyes, wings and its colors. The fly was the most beautiful creature I had ever seen. The ducks swimming in the pond, the trees, the grass and that tiny little fly were all so vibrant, colorful and full of life! (Since then I have never hurt a fly ever again, except mosquitos…..well we all know how people feel about those blood suckers!)

When it came time to break my fast I went to visit my Mom to tell her all about my life changing experience. It was then in her kitchen that I had an urge to write. Now I’m not a writer, but I asked my Mom for a pen and paper and began to write. I wrote and never put my pen down until I created the prayer. Confused about how I could write something so beautiful without any mistakes or corrections, I began to speak to God… “What should I do with this Lord?” It was at that moment when a vision appeared on my Mom’s wall and I saw the illustration that I needed to create in order to complete my prayer.

In 2019 my prayer was finally completed and my vision came to life. Since then I have shared it with my neighborhood churches and craft fairs on Long Island. The prayer has also inspired me to help my local community outreach programs such as: “The Lighthouse Mission” and “Teen Challenge”. My earnings and some of my profits from the prayer have gone towards donations and helping those who are less fortunate than I am.

Last Christmas I worked with the Lighthouse Mission to help get toys, food and necessitates for struggling families so that they could have a nice holiday. I continue to help feed homeless people in my community every day.

This past year I was able to help build a small ministry across the world in India where many people have turned to Christ. I also helped the orphanage children in India get new beds, blankets, pillows, clothes and school supplies that were desperately needed. I continue to work closely with my Pastor Steven Iannuccilli and family at East Gate Church in North Massapequa to host events such as: “Hope Day”, as well as collecting donations that are needed for the orphanage children we help in Africa with my Pastor Sharon Burke and her ministry called “Rose Among Thorns”. With your help and support in purchasing my prayer and merchandise, I will continue to keep doing what God has called me to do.

My wish is to continue to share my story with the world, help those in need and touch lives with my prayer. GOD is with us always!
