Whereas the subscribers having associated together for the purpose of forming a Hose Company in the City of Lebanon, Pa., the object of said organization is the extinguishment of fires, do hereby declare, set forth and certify that the following are the purposes, objects, articles and conditions of their association for and upon which they desire to be incorporated.
FIRST - The name of the corporation shall be the Rescue Hose Company No.4, of Lebanon, Pa.
SECOND - The said corporation is formed for the purpose of extinguishing fires.
THIRD - The location of said corporation and headquarters of the Company is to be in the Fifth Ward of said City of Lebanon.
FOURTH - The corporation is to have a perpetual existence.
FIFTH - The corporation has no capital stock. The members thereof shall be composed of the subscribers and their associates and of such other persons as may from time to time be admitted in such manner and upon such requirements as may be prescribed by their By-Laws. The said corporation shall nevertheless have power to exclude, expel or suspend members for just and legal cause, and in such legal manner as may be directed by the By-Laws. The names and residence of subscribers are as follows:
Jacob E. Reinoehl, Robert R. Reinoehl, William Whitman, John A. Walmer, C. Elmer Schnepp, Elmer E. Plantz, McClellan Nagle and Charles H. Nagle, all of Lebanon, Pa.
SIXTH - The oversight and management of said corporation shall be vested in a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Board of Trustees and Board of Directors, and they shall hold their offices until their successors are legally elected, subject, nevertheless to removal by said corporation for legal cause and upon such proper and legal notice as may be provided by the By-Laws.
SEVENTH - The corporation shall have the power to hold, purchase and transfer such real and personal property as its purposes may require, not exceeding the amount limited by law, and all the property thereof shall be taken and held to insure subject to the control and disposition of the members, but the clear yearly value or income of this corporation shall not exceed the sum of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00).
EIGHTH - The By-Laws shall prescribe the power and duties of the officers and members, the qualifications and manner of admitting members, the manner of selecting officers and such other regulations of the internal affairs of said corporation as it may deem necessary.

In the Court of Common Pleas of Lebanon County, and now, to wit: March 10, 1894 the foregoing charter and certificate having been presented to me a Law Judge of said County, accompanied by due proof of publication of which notice of this application, as required by law. I certify that I have examined and pursued the said writing and have found the same to be in proper form and within the purposes named in the first class of corporations specified by the general appropriation Act of 1874, and its supplements, and the same appearing to be lawful and not injurious to the community, I do hereby order and direct that the said Charter be and the same is hereby approved and that upon the recording of the same, and this order, the subscribers and their associates shall be a corporation by the name of the RESCUE HOSE COMPANY, NO. 4, of Lebanon, Pa.
